ACTIVITY REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2007-08
1. Education Development Program
SAMPOORN has identified two areas, which are extremely backward in terms of development index. The areas are Gandhi Nagar and Gondar Mau in Bhopal. The society has tried to inculcate awareness among these clusters regarding education by running a school for them and also through village animators and by distributing study material to children in the school going age group. The Society spent Rs.6520/- on this Program.
2. Environment Awareness Program
The Society has continued its focus on saving the environment and making the people aware of the advantages of conservation of nature and natural resources. An amount of Rs. 7025/- was spent on planting saplings and maintaining existing plants and trees in the Gandhi Nagar and Gondar Mau areas of Bhopal.
3. Poor Person Development Program
SAMPOORN is committed to bringing prosperity to the underprivileged of the society and in this direction shirts, saris and blankets were distributed to the poor during the year and an amount of Rs.5045/- was spent in these efforts.
4. Health Awareness Program:
Continuing from its activities in the past years, the Society this year as well has continued its efforts in the field of rural health and hygiene by supporting the activities of other like-minded agencies and organizations all over Madhya Pradesh.
5. Child Development Program and Anti- Drug Awareness Campaign:
A poster campaign along with a seminar at the School being run by the Society marked the Anti Drug Awareness Campaign. With participation of over 80 people and a poster campaign reach of over 2 lakh, the Anti Drug Awareness Campaign was a huge success for SAMPOORN. The Society spent a total of Rs.5012/- on these efforts.
The Society has also laid stress on the physical, mental and intellectual development of children and to further these efforts an amount of Rs. 7036/- was spent by SAMPOORN to bring children from the economically weakest strata of the Society in the mainstream.
