ACTIVITY REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2010-11

During the period 2010-2011 the Institute has grown by leaps and bounds in terms of its contribution to the Society at large and also in terms of activities undertaken for achievement of its objectives.

1. The strength of the school continues to be of 51 students and the new session in July 2011 hopes to witness an increase this number to some extent.

2. The students of the institute were motivated and trained in making diyas for Dipawali. They designed, painted and packed these dias under the guidance of their instructors. These diyas were later distributed as gifts.

3. The Institute celebrated 3rd Dec 2010 as “International Handicapped Day” and various functions were held to mark the day. A special day out was organized along with R D Memorial College of Nursing, Bhopal for the children where they interacted freely and enjoyed various sports activities. To mark this day, sweets, presents and clothes were distrubuted to the children in the Institute.

4. The students were motived to participate in a painting competition where they were given a chance to explore their own creativity under free will. The creations of these students were later converted into a calendar for the year 2011.

5. The Students were in their true element and the most upbeat of moods when they celebrated our Republic Day on 26th Jan 2011. Apart from Flag Hoisting and singing of patriotic songs, there were sports events for the students at the end of which the winners were given prizes.

6. Students brought laurel to the city and the institute by winning medals in the District Level Sports Meet for Special Children held at T T Nagar Stadium.

7. The Institute has also appointed an embroidery instructor and purchased “addas” for teaching kids embroidery to improve their concentration and helping them to learn an age old traditional art of this country.
