ACTIVITY REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2015
5-01-2015: New Year Celebrations
New Year Celebrations were held at the Institute in which children and staff participated. Children were distributed sweets and gifts on the occasion and they made new year resolutions including keeping their city and country clean and in trying their best to excel at the Institute.
19-01-2015 to 23-01-2015 Toran Making Competition
A unique toran making competition was held at the Institute in which students made beautiful torans from leaves, flowers and other decoration material. These torans were then put up on the various doors of the school. Gifts were given to the students with outstanding creativity on the occasion.
26-01-2015 Republic Day Celebrations
Like every year, Republic Day celebrations were held at the Institute. Several functions were organized on the occasion including patriotic songs and folk dance competition. Children were distributed laddus and fruits on the occasion and prizes were distributed to the winners.
11-02-2015 Home Based Program
The Institute has started a “home based program” to reach out to children with special abilities who are not in a position to come to the Institute. Through the special educators at the Institute they are taught and trained at their home itself.
04-03-2015 Holi Celebrations
Holi was celebrated at the Institute with fun and colours. The students wait eagerly for this annual event. Sweets, colours and pichkaris were distributed to the students on the occasion and were educated on the importance of conserving water and playing dry holi with colours and gulaal.
01-07-2015 Start of New Session
The new session of 2015-16 started with a lot of joy and celebrations as the children came back to the school after their summer vacations. The teachers and staff at the Institute welcomed them with sweets and chocolates.
08-07-2015 Distribution of School Uniform
As a part of the start of the new session, school uniform was distributed to the students.
15-07-2015 Distribution of Education Material
Education material including pens, pencils, copies, books, colours, art books and other embroidery related products were provided to the students at the start of the new session.
23-07-2015 Eid Milan Samaroh
Eid Milan Samaroh was organized at the Institute in which children were taught the importance of the month of Ramzan and Eid that follows it. They were distributed sheer khurma and sweets on the occasion.
15-08-2015 Independence Day Celebrations
Flag hoisting, sports meet and patriotic poetry competition marked the Independence Day Celebrations at the Institute. Students were distributed laddus and fruits on the occasion. A documentary movie based on the Independence Struggle was also shown to the students on this occasion.
26-08-2015 to 28-08-2015 Rakhi Making Competition
Students were provided with rakhi making material and they participated in a rakhi making competition. The fancy and colourful creations of the students were worth admiration and praise.
05-09-2015 Teacher’s Day Celebrations
Teacher’s Day was celebrated at the Institute on 5th September 2015. As a part of the celebrations there was a singing competition and students presented their teachers with gifts and greeting cards which they had prepared as part of their various workshops. Teachers distributed gifts and sweets to students on the occasion.
21-09-2015 Mr. Tankha’s Birthday Celebration
The Institute celebrated the birthday of Late Justice R K Tankha by paying homage to his departed soul and garlanding his picture and lighting a lamp in his name. Fruits and gifts were distributed to the students on the occasion and learned about his fascinating life.
02-10-2015 Gandhi Jayanti Celebration
Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated at the Institute by introducing the children to the life and contribution of Mahatma Gandhi to the nation and its independence struggle. Students paid homage to Gandhi ji by garlanding his photograph and vowed to follow the path shown by him in nation building.
10-10-2015 Fancy Dress Competition
A colourful fancy dress competition was organized at the Institute. Children dressed up as Subhash Chandra Bose, Gandhi ji, Indira Gandhi, Teacher, Fairy, Tiger, Policeman, Traffic Policeman, Bride and Bridegroom. Prizes were distributed to the winners and fruits were distributed to all the children.
13-10-2015 Card Making & Drawing Competition
A greeting card making and drawing workshop cum competition was organized at the Institute. Children displayed amazing creativity in both the competitions. The winners were distributed drawing material and drawing books.
28-10-2015 to 30-10-2015 Diya Making and Rangoli Competition
A diya making and rangoli making workshop cum competition was organized to enhance the creativity in the children. Education material including stationery items was given as prizes to the students at the end of the competition.
14-11-2015 Children’s Day Celebrations
Children’s day was celebrated at the institute through participation of the students in singing and dancing competition. Children were also taken for a ride around the city at the end of the competition where they got to see and admire the beauty of Bhopal.
16-11-2015 Warm Clothes Distribution
Sweaters and jackets were distributed to the students in preparation for the coming winter season.
19-11-2015 to 23-11-2015 Mandla Tour
Students went on a trip to Jabalpur-Mandla to participate in the annual meet of institutes being run in the name of Late Justice R K Tankha. Students participated in various competitions held there and brought laurels to the Institute.
03-12-2015 World Disability Day
World Disability Day was observed at the institute on 03 December 2015. Sport competitions were held on this occasion and winners were distributed prizes. chocolates and fruits were distributed among the children
21-12-2015 Christmas Day Celebrations
Christmas was celebrated at the institute like every year. This year as well a Christmas Tree was decorated at the institute and the children were distributed gifts.
